As kids and adults, we’ve always wanted the material things in life. The cars, clothes, a big house and designer things. We never did think of the things we wanted with ourselves or relationships. Yea, we probably thought about love and marriage with a baby carriage on the side. What happened to want more for ourselves? Like setting standards and boundaries with ourselves and relationships.
As I get older, I realize how my priorities constantly change. I also see that the list of things I want to accomplish in life gets longer as the days go by. I had a cousin ask me, “What did I want in life?”. As I stood there and pondered, I realized this question was a good and important question. Every day I think about the question he asked me and now I ask myself that on a daily basis. So, now I’m here to help you figure out and ponder as I did. What do you want in life? Aside from the material things, what most do you crave for that you’re growing to have?
While you think and write, I would like to share with you the top five things I want in my life and also my relationships.
As children, we always said we would get a big house, be at the top of our career and successful. Stability is important because it’s a level beginning and end. Stability is what you learn that you need at the beginning of your career or goals. Stability also comes with your mental capabilities. Mental stability is important because it’s a balance between what you doing and thinking. Everything you should want in life is connected to one another to get through in life. The root word of stability is stable. So, being stable is to be established into something. So, when you think about stability, think of standing firm on something and never backing down.
Being consistent is important. Consistency is doing something frequently and consistently. Staying consistent is a sign of loyalty to yourself or whatever that is important to you. For instance, you want to work out and be consistent meaning getting in the habit of doing it and seeing results! Consistency is like a momentum or adrenaline rush. When you consistently do something, you get good at it. So, whatever you do stay consistent and be good at what you do. I have a consistency issue when it comes to focusing and finishing things. I know, I’m working on it. I have to stay positive and also focus on doing what I need to do every day.
Happiness is necessary! I also think you should read this part of the blog with the song, “Happy”, by Pharrell playing. Happiness is what makes life fun. It’s what makes memories. Being happy should be a requirement for people each day. Happy people equals happy life. Part of being is happy is understanding life will be life even when it seems to be going bad. Happiness is how you get up each day and do what makes you happy. Happiness is living without limits, but also setting boundaries! Happiness is letting go of toxic people. Life is absolutely too short to be always mad for no reason. Live, life follow your dreams and most of all, BE HAPPY!
As you see, the formula for success requires consistency. Success is not easy. When you have a passion for something it requires consistency and hard work that further results in success. If you want it as bad as you think, then do it. Success is driven by working hard and also some failures. In life, we do fail and that is what makes us get up and try again and try even HARDER. Failing is apart of life lessons. With success comes wealth and doors opening. Now that I’ve given you the formula for success, I urge you to use it to whatever you want to do in life.
I’m going, to be honest, Peace is in my daily prayer. It’s very important to me that I have peace in my life. Peace is something that people often don’t think is needed in life. I think it is needed and every day. Especially in the world we live in. Peace balances and our mind, health, body, and spirit. It should be a requirement for Peace. If listening to inspirational music, reading, volunteering gives you peace then I encourage you to do that. Do what makes you happy, laugh and most of all smile.
Now that I’ve given you formulas and good direction of what to want in life, how are you feeling? Remain positive throughout your good and bad times. Success doesn’t happen overnight, and it takes time to get where you want to be in life. Write down your goals. Keep journals, surround yourself with peaceful people. Most of all, enjoy life!
Love, Gayla 💕
