Summer to Fall Transition Outfit
“I am my own muse, I am the subject I know best. The subject I want to know better.” – Frida Kahlo
When you think of Fall, you may think of Pumpkin Spice and cool temperatures. When I think of Fall, I automatically think of plaid. I absolutely love me a plaid button-down to finish or pair with my outfit to bring out the colors in my outfit. Besides plaid, I get excited about wearing my boots too! Thirdly, I loveeeeeee my fedora hats! I made sure when I put this look together; I made sure to include all of the necessities to complete a fall look.
When transitioning seasons, it’s very hard to choose your outfits. Especially, when the temperatures are not even budging to get cooler. So, I decided to put a piece of Summer clothing and some mixture of Fall into my outfit. When I first put this look together, I automatically thought this outfit is very daring and sultry. In the end, it came out perfect.
When it comes to shorts, I’m very hesitant. My thighs are big and I’m self- conscious when it comes to them. That’s when I decided to throw the plaid top in which can be worn off the shoulder in a messy way (above picture) or all the way on. I always love wearing my plaid tops around my waist, cause it’s just too cute! My top was an easy decision cause I wanted to do a crop top and a statement top, nothing basic. To finish the look I decided to wear my ankle boots and top it off with my black fedora hat.
The shorts made it a sultry look with the pop of red and other colors. My shorts are from Torrid (last season). My Frida Kahlo crop top is from Target in a 2x. The multi-colored plaid button-down I got from a yard sale for $1. My ankle boots and hat were purchased from Charlotte Russe. Check the links below for details!
